When you get in touch
The contact form sends your name, email address, subject and message through Resend so I can read and reply to it. These details are used for that conversation, not added to the newsletter. Messages are retained only as long as needed for the conversation and relevant follow-up. You can request deletion by email.
When you subscribe
The newsletter uses Resend. You’ll receive a confirmation email first. Your address is added to the mailing list only after you confirm. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link. You can also request removal at hello@hrih.si. Unconfirmed links expire after 24 hours; addresses are not added to the contact list before confirmation.
When you leave a comment
Comments store your chosen display name, message, the page you commented on, and the submission date. Comments are reviewed before publication; approved names and messages are publicly visible. You do not need to provide an email address. Pending and rejected comments are visible only in the private moderation queue. Email hello@hrih.si if you would like a comment removed.
To limit spam, a short-lived, one-way hash derived from your network address is stored with an attempt count. The raw address is not stored in the comment database. Rate-limit records expire after 10 minutes and are cleared on later submissions.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages people read, this site uses Umami, an open-source analytics tool that runs on the same server as the website. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and the statistics are not shared with anyone. For each page view it records the page address and title, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from your IP address. It also counts newsletter sign-up requests and sent contact messages, without the email address or the message. Your IP address is not stored. Visits are grouped by an anonymous identifier derived from your IP address, browser details and a secret that changes every month, so you can’t be recognized from one month to the next or across other websites.
On your device
Your theme preference is stored in your browser’s local storage. There are no cookies and no advertising trackers.
Service providers
Resend processes email and subscriber information. Read Resend’s privacy policy. The site runs on a server rented from OVH. Its web server keeps no access logs for this site; OVH may keep network and security logs under its own policies. Please avoid sending sensitive information through the contact form.
